Hot Sauce Recipe Using Peppers
2 Cups of Hot Peppers
4 oz. of water
8 oz. of vinegar 5%
2 tsp. salt.
1 or 2 tsp of garlic powder.
2 tbsp Brown Sugar.
2 or 3 metal pots
Old fashion food mill like mom
used to puree tomatoes you can still
buy them.
Cut peppers and remove stems
Add peppers and 4 oz of water to a pot.
Boil about 5 minutes until tender.
Cool then add 8oz of 5% vinegar then stir.
Puree into a clean pot using a food mill strainer.
Strain again into a clean pot to remove any excess seeds or skin.
Add salt, garlic and brown sugar.
Bring to a slow boil and stir for about 5 minutes.
Pour into hot sauce bottles.
Note if you do not have a food mill strainer you can use a
food processor and strainer.
