My first trip to Vegas was in the mid 1970’s. I never smoked but I collect Las Vegas Casino ashtrays. After players lose their money they would let you take ashtrays home as a souvenirs. Some casino ashtrays are plain, but others I believe are works of art. I used to pay 25 cents each at garage sales now some ashtrays are very collectable. I collect them because they are glimpse of the grand casinos of the past. Many of these casinos sadly are gone. Here is a part of my collection.
